The Northeast Pennsylvania Environmental Council held its 25th Anniversary Banquet on October 29, 2015 at the Woodlands in Wilkes-Barre. More than twenty-five individuals (family, friends, co-workers, and partnering agencies and organizations) were on hand to support Corey Richmond, our Watershed Specialist/Chesapeake Bay Technician as he received one of six “Partnership Awards”.

The Sullivan County Conservation District Manager had submitted the nomination in July of this year. In addition to the narrative of Corey’s activities, fourteen of our working partners submitted letters to support the nomination.

Over the course of twenty two years (this month) as the Chesapeake Bay Technician and Watershed Specialist, Corey has involved many partners in the conservation of our natural resources.

“Corey is quick to point out that many projects are just not possible without building partnerships with agencies and landowners as they have so much to offer in achieving success in projects.”

The Conservation District appreciates the great working relationship we have with our partnering agencies and organizations and gives a hearty “Thank-you” to those who sent support letters and even attended the October 29th celebration.
